Default Why is hummer trying to appeal to lame people?

This is kinda a weird post yeah i know, and it will sound kinda ignorant.

Why is hummer trying to appeal to lame people? Who even says they got enough cash for one jk.

Still i just saw a commercial about some mom and a slide. Standing in line and someone cuts them. The nice lady says "hey, jack was first". Then the mean lady is like "Well, we're first now"

Instead of trying to just beat the lady with the ugly stick, she goes out to get a hummer. I mean i know that's going to touch a lot of people, espcially those who get stepped on.

couple things, why the heck do people really need hummers, they are large, horrid fuel milage, and all around a pain for pretty much everyone on a normal road. I mean i know some roads are bad in america, but sheesh what the heck people

Now there is a commercial about "low ego emmisions" I gotta say, this is some messed up advertising lol.

If the people don't care about you or your feeling before, what is a hummer really going to do, sure you could run them over, but it be easier to just knock a couple teeth out by that point.

Anybody else feel that car commercials are nothing but random things, or rude/stupid?

Car commercials bore me -_-

Hummers are a waste of money and fuel.

Smart cars look stupid.

Just me and my blue Acura =/

You know, at this nearby mall, there was an unveiling of the smart car. So, everyone called sit inside one, touch it, feel how it's like.

Funny thing was, after 3 hours of the showing, the sides of the car was dented. What a crappy, but efficient, car.

they tested the smart car for how much damage is caused to it while going at 80km/h into a 7 tonned block of concrete. the front part where the engine goes got smashed to pieces but there was no damage done to the rest of the car the doors could open just fine and everything else. the seats were intact, its one of the safest cars. they also tested other small cars and they just got obliterated. this is from the show 5th gear (or top gear, dunno wat its called)

Oh, by efficiency I meant saving on gas

Otherwise, the smart car is only better than a Go-Cart on a highway =/ Not by a long shot either.

Bicycles ftw.

Well, it's not an option for everyone, especially those with long commuting times. But why, why, why, why do people need 4WD SUV's and minivans and luxury vans with television to drive to work? I doubt most of the people with SUVs even drive anywhere near the conditions those things were made for.

Or is it just 'HURR, my car is so HUGE, it's so huge that it's bigger than yours!'-attitude. Suppose the ever rising fuel costs will start to gradually crop those monsters out, but..

Hummers are a joke. My Crown Vic has all the comfort of a Hummer, V-8 power, good crash ratings, and a trunk you can fit like 10 bodies in. Only difference? I get 25 miles/gallon and paid about 2/3rds less. If you're not driving into swamps and wrestling alligators, you don't need a Hummer.

Well, about the televisions, I always thought that the entertainment systems were for the kids while you go on long driving trips o.o

And yes, having a hummer just gives you that "I CAN RUN YOU OVER, BITCH" feeling.

I personally don't like hummers that much. I like the technology behind them though like the geared hubs and central tyre inflation system, etc.
